Stocking Up With Azure | Azure Standard Haul

Preview

Hi, friend- Happy March! Azure Standard is one of our main sources of food, aside from our local farms. Most of what they carry is organic and non-GMO, and most of their food doesn’t have fake and unnecessary ingredients. We save up to 66% on food that we purchase from Azure, compared to our local health food store. They have options for us to bulk up, which is what we most often do because we save big-time, and they also have single portions to purchase if we’re just trying out an item or don’t quite need a whole ton. Today, I’m sharing with you our Azure Standard haul- I hope you enjoy, and get inspired to purchase something new that you have yet to try from them!

I’ll first share with you what all we got in this month’s order, then specifically about a few new products we’re trying for the first time, then we’ll finish off with me sharing the prices that we spent on each item. I hope you’ll enjoy and find this helpful in making your order for Azure Standard!

Stick to the end, because this video is in collaboration with a lovely YouTuber friend of mine, who is also sharing her monthly Azure Standard haul!

Welcome to Mama’s Fruitful Home!

My YouTube channel and blog is inspired from Titus 2:3-5 and Psalms 128:3. Titus 2:3-5 says, “Older women are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not slaves to excessive drinking. They are to teach what is Good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands and to love their children, to be self-controlled, pure, homemakers, kind and in submission to their husbands, so that God’s Word will not be slandered.” Psalms 128:3 says, “Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your home, your children, like young olive trees around your table.” My hope and prayer here is to grow in sweet sisterhood, that we may flourish together in Christ-likeness as daughters of The King, always encouraging with Scripture. I will share tips on homemaking, ways to care for our over-all health in our God-given design and cooking and baking from scratch. Whether you are a brand new homemaker, or you’ve been homemaking for years, my hope and prayer is that God may use me to encourage you in your journey of creating a fruitful home. I am so blessed to have you here!

In this monthly order, we got :

This month, we tried quite a few new things :

Azure’s Coconut Aminos. We are used to getting Coco Aminos from Big Tree Farms, and will never use soy sauce again! If you don’t know, soy is a huge hormone disruptor for men and women, so we stay clear of it. I love the glass jar that these Azure coconut aminos come in, however, it doesn’t have a pour spout, so it’s a wreck of a disaster trying to pour slowly and then realizing I’ve been pouring on the table and not my food. Haha. Thankfully, we have two of these pour spouts that I use for our homemade coffee syrup and creamer, so I poured the coconut aminos in this jar. I do have to say, I’m not as big of a fan of Azure’s coconut aminos as I am of Big Tree Farms’ Coco Aminos- plus, theirs does come with a pour spout on their glass jar, so less for me to do once bringing it home. We spent $10.88 for a 16 ounce glass jar.

Dried Mango. We were hoping to get a dried fruit to put in our homemade granola bars, after receiving a comment on one of my recent videos saying that she tried the granola bar recipe we use and also added some dried fruit. However, mango just does not seem the way to go. I didn’t realize that they would be so hard to chew, especially as I struggle with teeth issues. Thankfully, the kids love them, and I really enjoy the smell of them! I put everything in jars, so that’s why there’s no sign of the package in my footage. We spent $7.14 for a 5 ounce bag.

Mustard. We usually get mustard from Azure, but not this brand. This is the same brand of ketchup we’ve been loving from Azure, and we wanted to try the mustard- we appreciate that this one comes in a glass jar. And can we talk about how each of their bottles have different photos?! They’re making me so excited for Spring! We spent $12.99 for 3 13-ounce glass jars.

Azure’s Dish Soap. We got one un-scented, because we don’t use any scents in our home, and we also got one with a citrus scent, because I am just gravitating towards everything Spring this time of year- and if it makes cleaning more fun, I’m all for it! Dish soap was just about the only cleaning product we weren’t 100% happy with in finding a non-toxic option, and I am very pleased to have found this one! We spent $6.90 for a 32 ounce bottle- the citrus scent is 2 cents cheaper.

Kamut Noodles. I’ve heard of this grain before, and really love that it’s one of the first ancient grains and is the least tampered with and more easily digestible. We spent $10.55 for a 14 ounce box.

Azure Lasagna Noodles. We often get lasagna noodles from Azure, however, never the Azure brand- I’m really excited to try these ones! We spent $6.07 for a 1.1 pound package. You can see that these are currently on sale- usually they are $7.14.

Cider & Spice Apple Juice. We love anything apple in this home, and the words, “Cider & Spice” on an apple juice really got me- I’m pleased to say that this is very refreshing and tasty! We spent $6.10 for a 32 ounce glass jar. Unfortunately, this is soon discontinued.

Apple Pie Spice. On the note of apples, another fun treat we got is apple pie spice, a spice that I have never tasted before! We have Azure’s pumpkin pie spice that we love, so I knew I had to get this! My plan is to make a caramel apple coffee with my homemade caramel and apple crisp coffee syrup while also adding a dash of the cider and spice apple juice and grinding my coffee beans with some of the apple pie spice- yum! We spent $12.33 for a 1 pound bag.

Lemon Peel Powder. Another fun spice we got is lemon peel powder. I love everything lemon in the Spring-time, and cannot wait to put this to good use! We spent $12.77 for a 1 pound bag.

Manuka Honey Salve. Our family has really been dealing with rashes, and we’re trying to find the root cause. In the meantime, sometimes we just need relief, so we are trying out this Manuka honey salve that has grass-fed tallow, beeswax, eucalyptus and many more amazing ingredients! We have really been loving this already! We spent $12.97 for a 2 ounce container.

Blood Oranges. I was really surprised to find blood oranges on Azure! I tried a blood orange juice at a farmer’s market many years ago, and when I saw these blood oranges, that’s exactly what I remembered! We have been making fresh blood orange juice with these, and mixing in some of the orange juice we also got here in our Azure order, and making adrenal cocktails- we cannot get over the delicious taste! We made all-purpose cleaning spray with vinegar and the blood orange peels, and I just had to show you how beautiful it’s turning out as we wait for it to marinate for six weeks! We spent $14.50 for a 5 pound bag.

Active Dry Yeast. We currently have a ton of flour from Azure, and are in the process of finishing it all up so that we can get a grain mill, to mill our own wheat berries into flour fresh to use. As we transition this process, I’d like to start learning how to make bread, so we got active dry yeast. I’m still not quite sure my thoughts on active dry yeast, but until we start our own sourdough starter, this is where we’re at, and I am so excited to learn how to make bread for our family! We spent $7.31 for a 1 pound bag.
