Hi there, sister! Are you tired of spending so much on grocery store packaged snacks? Do you want to have the ingredients to make homemade snacks that the whole family loves always on-hand? Here, I’m sharing with you five snacks that our family LOVES, and it’s all made from scratch here in our home-kitchen, because we always keep these few ingredients stocked! Grab a coffee, put on your apron and grab a notebook- let’s get into it!

Welcome to Mama’s Fruitful Home!

My YouTube channel and blog is inspired from Titus 2:3-5 and Psalms 128:3. Titus 2:3-5 says, “Older women are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not slaves to excessive drinking. They are to teach what is Good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands and to love their children, to be self-controlled, pure, homemakers, kind and in submission to their husbands, so that God’s Word will not be slandered.” Psalms 128:3 says, “Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your home, your children, like young olive trees around your table.” My hope and prayer here is to grow in sweet sisterhood, that we may flourish together in Christ-likeness as daughters of The King, always encouraging with Scripture. I will share tips on homemaking, ways to care for our over-all health in our God-given design and cooking and baking from scratch. Whether you are a brand new homemaker, or you’ve been homemaking for years, my hope and prayer is that God may use me to encourage you in your journey of creating a fruitful home. I am so blessed to have you here!

First up, granola bars!

Feel free to screenshot and print out these recipe cards to put in your cutie recipe book!

I will share all of the recipes that I can down in the description box below.

Before we get into this recipe, I want to share with you the importance of sprouted oats. “Sprouted” means that they have been soaked, allowing for germination. The germination process allows oats to be easily digestible to the way God created our bodies to function- in other words, it’s called “bio-available.” The sprouting process brings out higher nutrients of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and anti-oxidants, allowing them to be a nutrient-dense option.

Okay, let’s start bakin’!

Next, brown sugar oat muffins!

This recipe was created by Melissa of Bless This Mess! You can find her here : https://www.blessthismessplease.com/brown-sugar-oatmeal-muffins/

We’ve been making her recipe for four years now, and we can never go wrong with them! Thank you, Melissa!!!

Next up, gummies!

This recipe is inspired by Noelle Kovary, however, I did make some changes. I highly recommend you to follow her over on Instagram @noellekovary for the most important knowledge on how to fuel our bodies well to have a thriving metabolism- thank you, Noelle!!!

Next, Granola!

This gingerbread granola is created by Winnie Kison from Winnie’s Balance! You can find her here : https://winniesbalance.com/holiday-gingerbread-granola/

Thank you, Winnie!!!

If you or your family don’t like a strong clove flavor, either leave out or add less.

We often times make a granola that literally tastes just like Honey Bunches Of Oats, except for actually nourishing. You can Pinterest so many different variations of granola, and use whatever you already have on-hand!

Lastly, yogurt!

This method is from Nicole and Peter at Bartlett Farms! You can find them on YouTube making their yogurt here : https://youtu.be/6etN2TrDE2Q?feature=shared

Thank you, guys!!!

The first time I made yogurt a couple of months back, I put it in our oven with the light on for 8-12 hours. The Bartletts share using a cooler to incubate, and that’s what I did this time around. If you’re not making your yogurt in the middle of the night, I would recommend using the cooler method, so that then you can use your oven whenever you need to throughout the day!

These snacks truly are staples in our home and we all love them. However, I don’t want you feeling like you need to make your children’s snacks from scratch. As much as they are fun to create and they are nourishing to our whole family, feeding our children simple whole foods is perfect, too! In seasons when I don’t have the capacity to make snacks from scratch often, we stick to these simple snacks I’m about to share with you- these are packed with protein, fat and carb, and will help satiate your bellies!

These are some simple snacks that are easy to get out of the fridge or pantry with little thought at all :

Bologna, Cheese & Mustard

Beef Stick, Cheese & Olives

Apples & Peanut Butter

Protein Shake

We have a subscription of Ancestral Supplements’ chocolate protein powder- you can get it at ancestralsupplements.com

Peanut Butter Toasted Sourdough

Yogurt With Peanut Butter Mixed In - you can add so many different things in yogurt

& Raw Milk

I know that it’s convenient to purchase packaged snacks from the grocery store and call it a day, however, I want to encourage you. Our children’s development is determined by the their health- in other words, the foods that they eat. Most children’s snacks in the aisles of grocery stores are filled with preservatives, heavy metals, artificial dyes and additives. These are all neurotoxins- each of these toxins change the proper development of our brains, ours and our children’s. These chemicals in our foods are causing our children to struggle with ADD and ADHD, anxiety, depression, mental issues, acne and rashes, and much, much more. Our children struggle learning when they aren’t fed a proper and nourishing diet. We have a gut-brain connection, where our brain communicates to our gut, and our gut signals to our brain. When we are under-nourished, our brain and gut struggle navigating how to communicate their needs- and that shows up in stomach aches, awful periods, sicknesses often, allergies, and many other signs and symptoms. These symptoms are our body telling us that something is wrong, and that it needs help. There are so many common illnesses that our children are facing these days, and it’s not normal. Our brains have neuro-plactisity, and because of that, our brains can change- for the better, or for the worse. Thankfully, since our brains can change, our brains and bodies are actually designed to heal- thanks be to God! We can always make changes to our health. Let us crave learning new things about our God-given physiology’s health. The more we as mamas learn, the more we can nourish our families well.
