How We Stopped Using The Grocery Store & Azure Standard Haul

Preview

Hi, friend! Ya wanna know how we ditched the grocery store a couple years ago? Azure Standard plays a HUGE role in this! So do our local farms, however, I’m gonna save that topic for a future video/blog. Today, I’m here sharing with you our Azure Standard haul, and how we save up to 66% off on things we would otherwise be wasting our money on at the grocery store. You ready? Here we go!

Welcome to Mama’s Fruitful Home! My YouTube channel and blog is inspired from Titus 2:3-5 and Psalms 128:3. Titus 2:3-5 says, “Older women are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not slaves to excessive drinking. They are to teach what is Good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands and to love their children, to be self-controlled, pure, homemakers, kind and in submission to their husbands, so that God’s Word will not be slandered.” Psalms 128:3 says, “Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your home, your children, like young olive trees around your table.” My hope and prayer here is to grow in sweet sisterhood, that we may flourish together in Christ-likeness as daughters of The King, always encouraging with Scripture. I will share tips on homemaking, ways to care for our over-all health in our God-given design and cooking and baking from scratch. Whether you are a brand new homemaker, or you’ve been homemaking for years, my hope and prayer is that God may use me to encourage you in your journey of creating a fruitful home. I am so blessed to have you here!

For this January pickup, we didn’t stock up too much, as our pantry is pretty well-stocked. So this month, we simply got a few items that will be gone within a month. Here’s what we spent on each item!

A few things I want you to keep in mind and consider :

When shopping for fruit and veggies at the grocery store, look at the sticker on the, say apple. Make sure the first number is 9, followed by four other numbers. This ensures that your fruit and veggies are indeed organic and non-GMO. My husband and I knew this hack when walking into our local health food store, and in the organic pile of bell peppers, the sticker actually did not have the 9 in front of the numbers- it was either mistakenly, or purposefully(I’m not gonna put anything passed anyone. Haha) in the wrong spot, and we would have picked up non-organic and GMO(genetically modified organism) vegetables if we did not look at the sticker and realize that they were in the wrong pile. Keep your eyes peeled at the grocery store, friends!

Fat is healthy. Fat does not make us fat. Fat helps us digest our protein and carb. Fat is very beneficial and healthy. That’s all, folks.

Eat whole foods. Eat what two generations ago and people in the Bible Days ate. Eat everything from an animal and what grows on the ground; mushrooms, herbs, coffee, fruits, veggies. All of it. It is absolutely necessary for our health, and we need to get back to it.

All-Purpose Cleaner & Mop Solution Recipe : fruit peels (orange, lemon, lime) and vinegar. Put in lidded jar in dry place for six weeks, shake if/when you remember, then pour into spray bottle/dump in mop bucket.

Go to your store, see what you’re paying for things, then look up those same things on Azure Standard, and see how much money you save. “We saaaaave money?!”- Christmas With The Kranks Movie.

You save money by bulking up.

Bread hack : cut up the whole loaf in slices and put in a gallon-sized baggie, for easy use.

Adrenal Cocktail Recipe for minerals, energy and cotisol (stress) : orange juice, cream of tartar, salt and collagen. Drink before you would often crash or start getting idle (lazy).

Have you tried Azure, and/or trying to not use the grocery store? What are your thoughts? Your encouraging engagement in the comments strengthens me in my walk with God as He leads me in encouraging you to create a fruitful home. It also blesses those who may be craving sisterhood community and encouragement in homemaking. I would love for this to be a safe place filled with righteous conversation. Happy grocery store ditching! Bye, friend!
